Creating a Village of Artists

We made houses at tonight’s reception at the CARFAC Artists For Artists conference at Gallery Gachet.

Artists at the conference took part in Pam Hall’s Building the Village Project. Details can be found on this facebook site:

Each artist’s finished paper house and our little community will be displayed Saturday and Sunday during the conference at Emily Carr University and we will also be putting them on Pam’s facebook site and CARFAC BC’s and twittering it too.

After the conference, they will be flattened and shipped to Pam who will add them to her growing international collection and display them as part of her exhibition titled HOUSEW0RK(s) at The Rooms Provincial Art Gallery, St. John’s, Newfoundland in 2014.

After being on display this weekend at Emily Carr University, the houses will be mailed to artist Pam Hall in NL and be part of a show at the Rooms in St. John’s next April.

Building a Village is a project of artist Pam Hall for a show at the Rooms.

See more about the project and how to participate through Pam Hall’s facebook page.
