Tarot Art

I’m working on a series of mixed-media collages based on the Tarot deck.

My friend Karen, noting my rather compulsive purchasing of tarot decks, kept saying: I think there should be a Bennett deck.

Summertime and Magic Island

Today is Sunday and tomorrow i head to Hornby Island for my annual camping trip. The realty company on Hornby calls itself “Magic Island” and anyone who’s been there knows why.

I now belong to a facebook group called “Hornby Island – that’s where I want to be.”

From the first time I went over a decade ago I recognized the need for “more Hornby” in my life – as metaphor as well as my annual trip. I bring back bowls and cups and art and postcards to remind myself that anywhere can be Magic.

The First Day of the Rest of My Blog

This is not my first attempt at blogging.

They say it takes an average of 6 times to successfully quit smoking.

If blogging is the same but in reverse, I may be on my 4th attempt, and may succeed this time at under the average.
